Gyronimo Performance Pad - Cirrus SR22 Review

The Gyronimo Performance Pad for the Cirrus SR22 stands out as an advanced Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) specifically designed for Mass & Balance and performance computations. This tool is now equipped with an 81/92 US Gallon fuel tank option, accommodating SR22 G1, G2, and G3 models, making it a versatile choice for various pilot needs.

This software efficiently handles weight and balance (W&B) and performance computations for SR22 models with a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 3,400 lbs, particularly those utilizing the Cirrus Perspective Avionics System outlined in the September 2011 flight manual revision. It is compatible with all SR22 serial numbers from 0002 to 3026 and beyond.

The inclusion of TKS anti-icing fluid options adds another layer of practicality for pilots operating in varied conditions. One notable enhancement is the professional load manifest feature that allows for easy management; users can sign and email the manifest directly from the iPad.

With the ability to calculate and interpolate performance data using actual values from the Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH), users can complete comprehensive flight planning rapidly. The real-time updates and high-resolution graphics optimized for iPad 2/3 and iPad Mini significantly improve user experience.

 <li>Takeoff Page: Leveraging actual data from the Operating Handbook, this section computes Ground Roll and Landing Distance, factoring in multiple variables such as aircraft mass, elevation, temperature, runway conditions, slope, and wind conditions. The Wind Components Computer simplifies wind adjustments for accurate takeoff calculations.</li>
 <li>Climb Page: This page calculates the time, fuel consumption, and distance to climb based on several parameters, including differences in elevation and wind components.</li>
 <li>Cruise Page: This feature aids pilots in selecting the optimal cruise altitude based on trip distance and various operational settings sourced directly from the POH.</li>
 <li>Landing Page: Similar to the Takeoff Page, this calculates Ground Roll and Landing Distance while allowing easy assessment of wind effects using the Wind Components Computer.</li>
 <li>Stall Speed Page: Here users can determine stall speeds based on bank angle and flap settings, utilizing KIAS and KCAS as computed values derived from the POH.</li>
 <li>Setup: This section enables users to load and save up to five aircraft settings and scenarios while providing options to send a Mass & Balance summary via email.</li>

The Gyronimo Performance Pad operates in two modes: "Individual Mode," where calculations function independently; and "Plan Mode," which ensures calculated values are forwarded seamlessly to subsequent pages along with a Flight Summary Page.
